1. What is Boudoir photography at Boudoir by Natasha Anne?

Boudoir photography is so much more than pretty pictures and lingerie. It is about changing the way we as women see ourselves.

2. Where are you located? Who is this for?

Boudoir by Natasha Anne is a boudoir photography studio based in Morgantown, West Virginia and serving the Pittsburgh region, West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Maryland area. Many of my clients travel two to three hours or more to experience a session with us!

Our private three story townhome studio-reserved just for our boudoir sessions- is located in Cheat Lake, West Virginia. The studio has countless shooting areas including a bedroom set, beautiful fireplace, 8 foot antique mirror, kitchen set, shower set, balconies for outdoor images overlooking the lake and more! For or our clients who travel from out of town, we can recommend a great hotel to stay at the night before or after your session.

This is for EVERY woman. Every shape. Every body.

Many of our clients are nurses, doctors, teachers, brides, moms, and EMTs...who are looking for a special birthday gift to themselves first and foremost. The bonus or the cherry on the top is being able to share it with their husbands, partners, significant others— if they deserve it!

3. Is hair and makeup included?

Yes! We partner with amazing professional hair and makeup artists who will customize your look based on your eye shape, complexion, hair texture! Getting your hair and makeup done professionally is SO important to the Boudoir Experience – we can’t stress it enough!! It gives you time to relax, get to know us better and feel pampered. Honestly, you will want to have a professional hair and makeup artist go with you everywhere once you experience this luxury!

4. Am I going to look like myself with my hair and makeup professionally done?

The art of the makeup is to bring out the masterpiece in you, so it may look like a lot of makeup when you get it done on the day of the shoot, but it will look just right in-camera. Remember that some of the makeup naturally “falls away” in the natural light, the processing, and retouching of your images.

Please let us know what adjustments you would like us to make during your hair and makeup appointment. The makeup artist is happy to talk with you. Your happiness with your look is really important to us.

5. What should I wear?

Go shopping in your closet! Plan to bring in 50% lingerie and 50% wardrobe that makes you feel natural and real. Over-sized sweaters, sweatshirts, high waist panties, white button down shirts, plaid shirts, tank tops, t-shirts with special meaning, shorts, jerseys, uniforms, cowboy hats, hard hats, overalls are just some suggestions!

Don't stress too much about wardrobe. I could (and have!) spent the entire time shooting a client with no other wardrobe than the bed sheets and completely rock it out.

Once you've completed the booking process with me, you will also receive a detailed lingerie guide, welcome/preparation guides, shopping links and more! Also, you will have access to me once you book a session to ask questions about wardrobe, the VIP group where you can post screenshots/pics from your closet, and past clients for their opinions!

6. Do I need to bring shoes?

Yes! I especially love non-traditional shoes, bring your favorite lace-up boots, cowboy boots, sparkly heels. A classic pair of black, nude, or bold colored heels (like red or blue) -- The higher the better. I always suggest a stilleto heel for dramatic effect. The right shoes will make an outfit stand out!

7. How long does the session last?

We love offering a full day experience! We never like to rush and never want my clients to feel rushed either. We start at 9am and end between 4/5pm, sometimes later. We advise not to plan anything in the evening because we do not know what time you will be leaving.

Hair and makeup lasts approximately one and a half hours, the photo shoot itself is two hours, and then you get to take a one and a half hour break for lunch/coffee/errands while we select your best portraits. When you return you get to see your images the same day! Plan another one to two hours to select your images and products of your choice.

8. How far in advance should I book my session?

Don't wait to schedule a call with me! It's never too early to get on my schedule. I recommend that women book a shoot date at minimum three to six months prior to needing the finished product in-hand. We tend to book up very quickly and relatively far in advance.

9. I don't know how to pose! Will that come through in the images?

No worries about “posing,” Natasha will guide you through this process and make you look and feel your best during the shoot. She has developed a posing system that looks amazing with every woman, shape, size, age! She will also demonstrate poses for you throughout the session as well.

Please know that posing will NOT feel like just another afternoon of lounging around on your bed. Natasha tells her clients that if the pose feels a little weird, they’re probably doing it right! That is why Natasha calls it posing PILATES!

10. Will you retouch my photos? I’m worried about cellulite, stretch marks, etc.

Our goal is always to utilize the most flattering light, angles, and poses so that tons of post-processing isn't necessary, and we will also advise you on the most flattering outfits for various body types. Most of our edits concern the technical aspects of a photo (exposure, contrast, coloring, etc.), however we do make the occasional "tuck" here and there, and we also perform skin edits as needed (on things like under eye circles, blemishes, bruises, tan lines, and noticeable cellulite).

We are committed to capturing who you are, not who you think you should be. You will find our edits do not change you, but simply lightly enhance. You will be surprised how much you love that version of yourself because it’s still you.

11. What are the ways I can display my images? For myself- for a partner?

We recommend albums and wall art. Albums are the obvious choice for displaying a good number of images and telling the story of your transformative experience! In addition to that, 95% of my clients find themselves with at least one big statement piece of wall art (canvas or metal) for their master bedroom, master bathroom, or master walk in closet. Hand in hand, the album and wall art are the best of both worlds.

12. How long does the finished product take?

Most clients start a pre-payment plan or pre-pay in full before their session so they can get access to our bonus sets! Some clients also pay in full on the day of their session, and receive their the products within seven to nine weeks of their session. Luxury albums are created in Portugal and so worth the wait!

Some clients choose to enroll in a post-session payment plan (fees are associated with the post-session payment plan option) in a three to six payment plan and receive their products after their payment plan has been completed.

13. Will you use my images on Tiktok, Facebook, Instagram, Website? Or can they be kept completely private?

It is totally up to you! Most clients love to inspire other women to have this powerful experience as well! During the session itself, we often take before/afters, marketing videos, and behind the scenes images and videos to show the amazing experience!

However, I completely understand if you or your significant other might be uncomfortable sharing your images. Therefore, we do have a few select clients who choose to completely keep their images 100% private.

The bottom line is: I will honor whatever level of privacy you would like. We will go over this decision after your session. We never share images or videos unless we are given permission.

14. All the women on your website look amazing – what if I don’t look as good?

All of our clients are all different sizes, ages and body types.  The images you see on this website are of regular women who have gained confidence through professional expert posing and professionally-styled hair and make-up, as well as the encouragement from Natasha as their photographer and their coach throughout the shoot.

It is normal to feel nervous and worry about not being “good enough,” but we promise you that by the end of the shoot, you will look just as gorgeous as the other women pictured on our website. No matter what you look like, courage is the best thing we can recommend to you! Just be brave and show up!

15. I’m engaged and would love to give this to my future hubby as a special gift. When should I book my shoot in order to have the pictures ready before the wedding?

First of all, congratulations! Celebrate this most important stage of your life by celebrating yourself. Bridal boudoir sessions will capture the essence of you becoming a bride—and you can give this gift to your groom.

For all our clients, including those interested in bridal elements, we recommend booking a session three to six months if not more before the desired date of product delivery. You can never snag a spot to early!

16. Who will be at the shoot? Should I bring a friend?

We recommend you come alone for the best experience, as the best photos come from the one-on-one interaction between you and the photographer. We are an all-female staffed studio, and the only people present will be the photographer and hair and makeup artist.

17. What is the average age of your clients? Do you photograph older women?

The age ranges of our client base varies from twenty-one to sixty-five years old, with the average age between Twenty-eight and Fifty-five. We welcome women of all ages to come enjoy the experience of celebrating YOU. Some of our favorite clients are older women, and we have lots of experience with women of all ages – so don’t feel discouraged by age. It is all about confidence and being yourself.

18. Do you offer group parties? Couples shoots?

I do not offer group parties. We find that individual sessions lead to the greatest transformation in confidence! However, we do offer group empowerment shoots for the public! 19. How much is the investment in this boudoir experience at Boudoir by Natasha Anne?

Booking your experience requires a Retainer Fee that secures your spot on the calendar and includes:

• Same day reveal of your gorgeous images so you don’t have to wait and see how it all turned out!

RETAINER FEE / $499 plus tax

During your call, you will go over the whole process together, including full pricing. Your session will only be confirmed once you select a date and pay your retainer and commission fee. 20. How do I schedule a session? What is your refund policy? Can I reschedule?

It’s super easy, schedule a call with me here, or email us at boudoirbynatashaanne@gmail.com or fill out our contact form! When you are ready to book a session, please plan to pay $499 plus tax for the session/retainer fee to secure a date on our calendar.

Once you book, we will go over our policy agreement, which includes one complimentary reschedule (more details to follow). If for any other reason, please review your policy agreement for more details.

Due to the custom nature of photography, the retainer fee and anything you purchase is non-refundable. We are committed to working with you to ensure you love your photos.

Note: Our studio is often booked full 3-6 months in advance, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to book a session for a future special occasion.
